In October 2003, bear enthusiast Timothy Treadwell and his companion Amie Huguenard were fatally mauled in Alaska. "Life & Death of a Grizzly Lover," published in the November/December 2003 issue of the magazine Bellowing Ark, offers thoughts from the ground in Alaska.   Available here>​
